How Southern Medical works |
| |
Southern Medical provides durable medical equipment, supplies and related services. The program works as follows: |
|
| |
Step 1 |
The patient's order is placed by the physician, home health nurse, or hospital personnel.
|
| |
Step 2 |
Southern Medical will obtain a prescription from the physician and verify insurance coverage.
|
| |
Step 3 |
The patient's equipment will be delivered and set up by a qualified driver technician.
|
| |
Step 4 |
Southern Medical will bill Medicare, Medicaid, or the patient's private insurance company.
|
| |
Step 5 |
If indicated, follow-up home visits will be made by a clinician and status reports will be sent to the physician, hospital, and home health agency.
|
| |
